When can I get Spare Tank?
Spare Tank is in testing now and is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone and Mac.
What counts as "running out"?
Usage caps, rate limits, quota errors and similar "try again later" responses from a model. When one appears, Spare Tank moves to the next model you've lined up.
What is Ollama, and do I need it?
Ollama is free software that runs open AI models on your own computer or server. It's optional, but it makes a great last tank: a model on your own hardware has no usage plan to exhaust.
Where do my conversations go?
To the models you choose, and nowhere else. Spare Tank has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The privacy policy spells out exactly what is stored and where.
Is Spare Tank affiliated with the AI providers?
No. Spare Tank is an independent app from Arcem LLC. It works with the services and models you choose, under your own accounts with them.
